Aaron Myers
Aaron Myers, hailing from Goodlow, Texas, discovered his musical calling in church, mastering the piano and unleashing a soulful baritone that’s turning heads in jazz. With four albums—Leo Rising, The Lion’s Den, The Pride Album, and Snowing in Vegas—he’s a rising star, blending captivating stage presence with raw talent. Since 2018, he’s hosted Jazz Stories on WPFW 89.3FM and serves as a Governor and voting member of the Recording Academy.
A fierce advocate for mental health and LGBTQI rights, Aaron chairs the Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation and leads Crittenton Services of Greater Washington as Interim President & CEO. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he spearheaded the DMV Music Stakeholders cohort to bolster DC’s music scene. His accolades include the 2016 International Music and Entertainment Award for Best Jazz Artist and multiple Wammies (2019-2022) for Advocacy, Best Jazz Artist, and Best Jazz Song.
